# Solar for Veterans Terms & Conditions

**TERMS & CONDITIONS**

Guiding Principles

The RESINC Solar for Veterans & Families Program is founded on the principles of Respect, Gratitude, Integrity, Community

and Impact.

Every decision made under this Program is guided by these values and by RESINC’s commitment to delivering meaningful, longterm

support to Australian Veterans and their families.

The Program exists to recognise those who have served Australia by reducing the cost of living through fully funded Solar &

Battery Systems, while treating every Veteran and their family with dignity, fairness and respect.

1\. Promoter and Program Partners

1.1 Promoter. The Promoter is RESINC Solar Pty Ltd (ACN 153 774 488) as trustee for the RESINC Solar Unit Trust (ABN 81 712

459 481) of 3 Amy Close, Wyong NSW 2259 (“RESINC” or “the Promoter”).

RESINC is responsible for establishing, administering and funding the RESINC Solar for Veterans & Families

Program (“Program”), including:

• receiving and assessing nominations;

• coordinating recipient selection;

• managing Program Partners;

• supplying and installing Solar & Battery Systems;

• administering the Power It Forward Initiative; and

• monitoring and reporting on the Program’s overall community impact.

RESINC’s inaugural commitment is to deliver 365 fully funded Solar & Battery Systems to eligible Veterans and Veteran families.

Eligible installations completed during the Program’s pilot phase form part of this commitment.

1.2 Program Partners. The Program is delivered in collaboration with recognised Veteran organisations, Ex-Service Organisations

(“ESOs”), healthcare providers, research partners, government agencies and other organisations appointed by RESINC from time

to time (“Program Partners”).

Program Partners may assist with:

• identifying eligible Veterans and Veteran families;

• providing Veteran welfare expertise;

• supporting nominations;

• participating in the assessment process;

• providing local knowledge;

• supporting recipient wellbeing;

• program evaluation;

• community engagement; and

• promoting awareness of the Program.

Program Partners provide advice and recommendations only. Final decisions regarding recipient selection remain the

responsibility of RESINC.

Independent Research Partner

RESINC is working with Gallipoli Medical Research, one of Australia’s leading Veteran research organisations, to assist in

designing and independently evaluating the Program.

The evaluation may measure outcomes including:

• household financial wellbeing;

• quality of life;

• energy affordability;

• household energy security;

• community impact; and

• Social Return on Investment (SROI).

Participation in research activities is entirely voluntary and subject to separate participant consent.

2\. Program Name

The Program is known as the:

RESINC Solar for Veterans & Families Program

The Program incorporates the Power It Forward Initiative, which enables RESINC customers to help fund additional Solar &

Battery Systems for vulnerable Veterans and Veteran families beyond RESINC’s inaugural commitment.

3\. Program Period

The Program officially commences on 1 September 2026.

Prior to the official commencement, RESINC conducted a pilot phase between 1 July 2026 and 31 August 2026 to commence

delivery of the Program and validate operational processes.

For the avoidance of doubt, all eligible Solar & Battery Systems installed during the pilot phase between 1 July 2026 and 31

August 2026 are deemed to form part of RESINC’s inaugural commitment to deliver 365 fully funded Solar & Battery Systems.

The Program will continue until:

• RESINC has completed its inaugural commitment of 365 fully funded Solar & Battery Systems; or

• RESINC determines to extend or continue the Program.

Additional installations may be funded through:

• the Power It Forward Initiative;

• strategic partnerships;

• grants;

• manufacturer support;

• corporate sponsorships; and

• other approved funding sources.

RESINC reserves the right to extend, amend, suspend or conclude the Program where reasonably necessary.

4\. Eligibility

4.1 Eligible Applicants. Applicants must be:

• a former member of the Australian Defence Force (ADF) who has been discharged; or

• a current serving member transitioning from military service.

4.2 Identification Requirements. Applicants must hold one of the following:

representing a significant proportion of household income;

• reliance on a fixed or limited income;

• living in a single-income household;

• aged 65 years or older and receiving a government pension;

• Department of Veterans’ Affairs;

• healthcare providers;

• community organisations;

• employers;

• family members;

There is no cost to submit a nomination.

Multiple nominations are permitted provided each nomination relates to a different Veteran or Veteran family.

Duplicate nominations may be consolidated by RESINC.

Submitting a nomination does not guarantee selection.

By submitting a nomination, the nominator confirms that the information provided is true and correct to the best of their

knowledge and that they have the nominee’s permission to provide their personal information where reasonably practicable.

6\. Nature of the Program

6.1 Community Support Initiative. The RESINC Solar for Veterans & Families Program is a national community support

initiative established to recognise the service and sacrifice of Australian Veterans by providing practical, long-term assistance

through fully funded Solar & Battery Systems.

The Program aims to:

• reduce the cost of living for vulnerable Veteran households;

• improve long-term household energy affordability;

• increase energy independence and resilience;

• recognise and honour Veteran service; and

• create measurable social impact through community partnerships.

The Program is not:

• a competition;

• a lottery;

• a raffle;

• a game of chance; or

• a promotional giveaway.

6.2 Assessment Criteria. Each nomination will be assessed having regard to factors including, but not limited to:

• demonstrated financial hardship;

• overall vulnerability and household circumstances;

• Veteran service history;

• household energy costs and potential long-term benefit;

• medical or wellbeing considerations;

• property suitability;

• recommendations from Program Partners;

• availability of Program funding;

• geographic distribution of recipients across Australia; and

• the overall objectives of the Program.

No single criterion guarantees selection.

6.3 Assessment Panel. Nominations will be assessed by an Assessment Panel comprising representatives of RESINC together

with appropriately qualified Veteran organisation partners and other persons appointed by RESINC from time to time.

The Assessment Panel may seek additional information from the nominator, nominee or relevant third parties where reasonably

necessary to complete an assessment.

6.4 Assessment Decisions. All assessment decisions are made in good faith, having regard to the objectives of the Program and

the information available at the time.

Subject to applicable law, all decisions of the Assessment Panel are final and RESINC is not required to enter into

correspondence regarding individual assessment outcomes.

7\. Assessment & Recipient Selection

7.1 Assessment Process. Eligible nominations will be assessed throughout the Program Period in accordance with the

assessment criteria outlined in Clause 6.

The assessment process generally includes:

• verification of eligibility;

• review of supporting documentation;

• assessment of financial and personal circumstances;

• consideration of property suitability;

• consultation with Program Partners where appropriate; and

• final approval by RESINC.

RESINC may request additional information at any stage of the assessment process.

7.2 Recipient Selection. Recipients will be selected progressively throughout the Program Period until RESINC has fulfilled its

inaugural commitment to deliver 365 fully funded Solar & Battery Systems, unless the Program is extended.

For the avoidance of doubt, eligible Solar & Battery Systems installed during the Program’s pilot phase between 1 July 2026

and 31 August 2026 form part of RESINC’s inaugural commitment of 365 installations.

Where additional funding becomes available through the Power It Forward Initiative, strategic partnerships, grants, donations or

other approved funding sources, RESINC may approve additional recipients beyond the initial commitment.

7.3 Availability of Funding. Selection of recipients is subject to:

• available Program funding;

• installation capacity;

• product availability;

• engineering requirements; and

• operational considerations.

A successful assessment does not guarantee immediate installation.

7.4 Notification. Successful recipients will be contacted using the details provided during the nomination process.

If a recipient:

• cannot be contacted within a reasonable period;

• declines the Program Support;

• is no longer eligible; or

• the installation cannot reasonably proceed,

RESINC reserves the right to select an alternative recipient.

8\. Program Support

8.1 Program Support. Each successful recipient will receive a fully funded Solar & Battery System supplied and installed by

RESINC.

The Program Support is intended to reduce ongoing household electricity costs, improve long-term energy security and provide

lasting financial relief for eligible Veterans and Veteran families.

8.2 System Design. The final system size, battery capacity, equipment specifications and installation method will be determined

by RESINC having regard to:

• household energy requirements;

• engineering requirements;

• available government incentives;

• installation viability.

RESINC reserves the right to substitute equipment or products of equivalent or greater quality where reasonably necessary.

8.3 Government Incentives. As a condition of receiving Program Support, recipients agree to assign to RESINC any government

rebates, certificates or incentives available in connection with the installation, including (where applicable):

• Small-scale Technology Certificates (STCs);

• Federal Battery Incentive Programs;

• State-based Solar or Battery rebate programs;

• Virtual Power Plant incentives; and

• any successor incentive schemes.

Recipients agree to execute all documents reasonably required to facilitate such assignments where permitted by law.

8.4 Non-transferability. Program Support:

• cannot be transferred;

• cannot be redeemed for cash;

• cannot be exchanged for alternative products or services; and

• has no cash value.

9\. Power It Forward Initiative

9.1 Overview. The Power It Forward Initiative forms part of the RESINC Solar for Veterans & Families Program.

The Initiative enables RESINC customers to directly contribute towards funding additional fully funded Solar & Battery Systems

for vulnerable Veterans and Veteran families.

9.2 Eligible Customer Installations. A customer installation will qualify under the Initiative where:

• the customer purchases an eligible RESINC Solar & Battery System;

• the customer identifies “Solar for Veterans” as their referral source prior to entering into a sales agreement;

• the installation proceeds to completion;

• any applicable cooling-off period has expired; and

• payment or finance settlement has been completed.

Cancelled, refunded or incomplete installations will not qualify.

9.3 RESINC Commitment. For every five (5) eligible completed customer installations, RESINC will fund and install one (1)

additional fully funded Solar & Battery System for a Veteran or Veteran family selected through this Program.

These additional installations are over and above RESINC’s inaugural commitment to deliver 365 fully funded Solar & Battery

Systems, which includes all eligible installations completed during the Program’s pilot phase between 1 July 2026 and 31

August 2026.

9.4 Transparency & Reporting. RESINC may publish information relating to the Program and the Power It Forward Initiative,

including:

• the number of eligible completed customer installations;

• the number of Solar & Battery Systems delivered under the inaugural commitment;

• the number of additional Veteran systems funded through Power It Forward;

• estimated household savings delivered;

• community impact statistics;

• Program milestones; and

• other information demonstrating the social impact of the Program.

Such reporting will not identify recipients without their prior consent.

10\. Installation & Site Requirements

10.1 Installation Requirements. Delivery of Program Support is subject to:

• site inspection and approval by RESINC;

• structural suitability of the property;

• compliance with all applicable Australian electrical and safety standards;

• approval from the relevant electricity distributor or network operator where required;

• any necessary council, strata or regulatory approvals; and

• safe access for installation personnel and equipment.

Installation timeframes are subject to product availability, engineering requirements, regulatory approvals, weather conditions

and scheduling.

10.2 Property Suitability. Where a nominated property is determined to be unsuitable for the proposed installation, RESINC

may, at its sole discretion:

• modify the system design or specification;

• recommend reasonable rectification works prior to installation;

• defer installation until the property becomes suitable;

• install an alternative Solar & Battery System of equivalent benefit where reasonably practicable; or

• determine that installation cannot proceed.

Where installation cannot reasonably proceed, the recipient will have no entitlement to receive an alternative benefit,

compensation or cash payment.

10.3 Installation Timeframes. Whilst RESINC will endeavour to complete installations as soon as reasonably practicable,

recipients acknowledge that installation dates may vary due to:

• weather events;

• supplier lead times;

• regulatory approvals;

• installer availability;

• network provider requirements; and

• operational priorities.

RESINC will keep recipients informed of any significant delays where reasonably practicable.

10.4 Recipient Responsibilities. Recipients agree to:

• provide accurate information throughout the assessment and installation process;

• provide safe and reasonable access to the property;

• cooperate with site inspections and installation scheduling;

• obtain any approvals required from landlords or body corporates where applicable; and

• notify RESINC as soon as practicable of any material change that may affect eligibility or installation.

Failure to comply with these requirements may result in installation being delayed or withdrawn.

11\. Publicity, Storytelling & Research Participation

11.1 Program Recognition. The Program exists not only to reduce household electricity costs but also to recognise and celebrate

the service and contribution of Australian Veterans.

Successful recipients may be invited to participate in reasonable promotional and community awareness activities relating to the

Program.

These activities may include:

• photography;

• video production;

• interviews;

• television appearances;

• social media content;

• website stories;

• community events;

• educational material; and

• other Program-related promotional activities.

Participation is voluntary.

11.2 Consent. Prior to any promotional activity, RESINC will obtain the recipient’s written consent to use their:

• name;

• image;

• likeness;

• story;

• testimonial; and

• general details of their participation in the Program

for the purposes of promoting, educating and raising awareness of the Program.

Recipients may decline participation in promotional activities without affecting their eligibility to receive Program Support.

11.3 Independent Research. Recipients may also be invited to participate in independent Program evaluation undertaken

by Gallipoli Medical Research or another approved research partner.

Research activities may include:

• surveys;

• questionnaires;

• follow-up assessments; and

• other evaluation activities designed to measure the Program’s impact.

The evaluation may consider outcomes including:

• electricity cost savings;

• energy resilience;

• health and wellbeing outcomes;

Declining to participate in research will not affect a recipient’s eligibility to receive Program Support.

12\. Privacy

RESINC is committed to protecting the privacy of all nominees, nominators and recipients.

Personal information collected in connection with the Program will be managed in accordance with:

• the Privacy Act 1988

• the Australian Privacy Principles; and

• RESINC’s Privacy Policy.

12.1 Information Collected. Information collected may include:

• nominee details;

• Veteran service information;

• contact details;

• eligibility documentation;

• any other information reasonably required to assess eligibility or administer the Program.

12.2 Disclosure of Information. RESINC may disclose relevant information to:

• Program Partners;

• Ex-Service Organisations;

• Gallipoli Medical Research or other approved research partners (where consent has been provided);

• installation contractors;

• electricity distributors;

• government agencies where required by law; and

• organisations assisting with Program delivery.

Information will only be shared where reasonably necessary for administration of the Program or where required by law.

12.3 Privacy Rights. Individuals may request access to, or correction of, their personal information in accordance with Australian

privacy legislation.

Requests should be directed to RESINC using the contact details contained in these Terms & Conditions.

13\. Liability

13.1 Non-Excludable Rights. Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right

or remedy available under the Australian Consumer Law or any other applicable legislation that cannot lawfully be excluded.

13.2 Limitation of Liability. Subject to Clause 13.1 and to the extent permitted by law, RESINC is not responsible for:

• delays caused by weather events;

• product shortages or supplier delays;

• electricity distributor requirements;

• inaccurate or incomplete information contained within a nomination;

• a nominated property being unsuitable for installation;

• changes to Government incentive programs;

• delays arising from third-party contractors or authorities; or

• any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from participation in the Program.

13.3 Installation Warranty. Solar & Battery Systems supplied under the Program will be installed by appropriately licensed and

qualified installers.

Equipment supplied will be covered by applicable manufacturer warranties together with all statutory consumer guarantees

available under Australian law.

Recipients will receive all relevant warranty documentation upon completion of installation.

13.4 Force Majeure. RESINC will not be liable for any delay, suspension or inability to perform its obligations under the Program

where such delay or failure arises from events beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to:

• natural disasters;

• pandemics;

• industrial disputes;

• government action;

• changes in legislation;

• supply chain interruptions; or

• other unforeseen events.

14\. General

RESINC reserves the right to:

• verify the accuracy of any nomination or supporting documentation;

• request additional information or evidence to assess eligibility;

• consult Program Partners or other relevant organisations during the assessment process;

Any material changes to these Terms & Conditions will be published on the RESINC website and will take effect from the date of

publication unless otherwise stated.

Participation in the Program constitutes acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions creates any legal entitlement to receive Program Support until RESINC has formally

approved a recipient and confirmed the installation in writing.

14.1 Verification. RESINC reserves the right to verify:

• Veteran service;

• identity;

• concession or DVA eligibility;

• property ownership or tenancy;

• financial information;

• supporting documentation; and

• any other information reasonably required to assess eligibility.

Where requested information cannot be verified, RESINC may decline the nomination.

14.2 Fraudulent or Misleading Information. If RESINC reasonably believes that information supplied during the nomination or

assessment process is false, misleading or intentionally incomplete, RESINC may:

• reject the nomination;

• withdraw approval;

• cancel a scheduled installation; or

• recover Program Support where permitted by law.

14.3 No Employment or Agency Relationship. Participation in the Program does not create any employment, agency,

partnership, joint venture or fiduciary relationship between RESINC and any participant, recipient or Program Partner.

15\. Governing Law. These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.

Each participant irrevocably submits to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales and any courts

competent to hear appeals from those courts.

16\. Severability. If any provision of these Terms & Conditions is found to be invalid, unlawful or unenforceable by a court of

competent jurisdiction, that provision will be severed to the extent necessary.

The remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

Failure by RESINC to enforce any provision of these Terms & Conditions does not constitute a waiver of that provision or any
