#### Federal STC Program
The Small-scale Renewable Energy Scheme (SRES), administered by the Clean Energy Regulator, creates a financial incentive for households and businesses to install eligible small-scale renewable energy systems. The incentive comes in the form of Small-scale Technology Certificates (STCs).

**Solar PV**
When you install an eligible rooftop solar system, that system is entitled to create STCs based on its size, location and the amount of electricity it is expected to generate or displace over its deeming period. Most customers assign the right to create these certificates to RESINC in exchange for an upfront discount applied to the purchase price of the system, so there is no separate rebate to claim later.

To be eligible, the system must use solar panels and inverters listed on the Clean Energy Council approved products list, be designed and installed by a Solar Accreditation Australia (SAA) accredited designer and installer, and comply with all relevant local, state, territory and federal requirements, including electrical safety. STCs must be created within 12 months of the installation date.

**Cheaper Home Batteries Program**
From 1 July 2025, eligible solar batteries became entitled to create STCs under the same scheme and like solar it is applied upfront by RESINC rather than claimed back.

Eligibility conditions include: the battery must be new, have a nominal capacity between 5 kWh and 100 kWh, meet the relevant Australian Standard (AS/NZS 5139:2019), and be paired with solar (batteries that only store grid electricity are not eligible). STCs are calculated on usable capacity, and only the first 50 kWh of usable capacity is eligible. Only one battery system per premises is eligible. The battery rebate rate steps down over time, so the value available at the time of your installation may differ from earlier quotes.

For full eligibility details and current settings, see the Clean Energy Regulator at [cer.gov.au](http://cer.gov.au/) and the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water at [energy.gov.au](http://energy.gov.au/).

### State Based Incentives

Where applicable, we assist our customers in pursuing state based incentives. Each of these programs has its own terms and conditions, eligibility criteria and funding limits, which can be found on their respective websites. Availability, rebate values and income thresholds change from time to time, so we always recommend confirming the current settings directly with the relevant program before proceeding.

**Solar Victoria (Solar Homes Program)**
Eligible Victorian households can access a solar panel rebate, with the option of an equivalent interest free loan, through the Solar Homes Program. Eligibility is subject to conditions including owner-occupier or eligible landlord status, property value limits, prior-rebate history and a combined household income cap. Full terms are available at [solar.vic.gov.au](http://solar.vic.gov.au/).

**NSW Home Energy Saver (interest free loan up to $15,000)**
Eligible NSW households can access a zero-interest loan of up to $15,000 to fund solar, battery storage and other energy upgrades, repayable over up to ten years. Eligibility conditions apply, including property ownership in NSW, a combined taxable household income threshold, and a credit assessment through one of the program’s approved finance providers. The loan is designed to sit alongside federal incentives. Full terms are available at [energy.nsw.gov.au](http://energy.nsw.gov.au/).

### NETCC Requirements

RESINC is an approved seller under the New Energy Tech Consumer Code (NETCC). As a signatory, we adhere to the Code’s requirements covering honest and transparent sales and marketing, clear pre-contractual information, fair contract terms, compliant finance arrangements, and robust after-sales support and complaint handling. Our commitment to the Code means you can expect a clear written quote, no high-pressure sales tactics, and the consumer protections the NETCC is designed to guarantee. More information about the Code is available at [netcc.gov.au](http://netcc.gov.au/).

### Social Enterprise Programs

As a social enterprise, RESINC undertakes a variety of community giving initiatives. Each of these programs operates under its own set of terms and conditions, including eligibility, nomination and selection criteria. Full details for each program can be found at the links below.
