# Resinc Community Heroes – Terms & Conditions

### RESINC COMMUNITY HEROES – TERMS & CONDITIONS
1\. Promoter and Program Partners

1.1 Promoter. The Promoter is RESINC Solar Pty Ltd (ACN 153 774 488) as trustee for the RESINC

Solar Unit Trust (ABN 81 712 459 481) of 3 Amy Close, Wyong, NSW 2259 (“Promoter”). The

Promoter is responsible for the conduct of the Promotion and for the supply and installation of all

prizes.

1.2 Program Partners. The Promotion is conducted in association with Maker Media Pty Ltd ABN (90

670 674 138) a “Program Partner”. Program Partners are responsible for the production and

broadcast of Budget Battlers (the “Program”) but are not responsible for prize fulfilment, eligibility

decisions, or the mechanics of the Promotion.

2\. Promotion Name

“RESINC Community Heroes” Solar & Battery Giveaway (“Promotion”).

3\. Promotion Period

The Promotion commences on 14 April 2026 and concludes on 14 April 2027, or earlier if all

allocated systems (with a total prize pool value exceeding AUD $1,000,000 as set out in clause 8)

have been awarded.

4\. Eligibility

4.1 Eligible nominators. Any Australian resident aged 18 years or over may submit a nomination.

4.2 Eligible nominees. A nominee must be either:

• an Australian resident aged 18 years or over; or

• a registered charity, not-for-profit, or incorporated community organisation located in

Australia,

and in either case must (i) be located in an area serviceable by the Promoter, and (ii) meet the

installation and site requirements set out in clause 10.

4.3 Authority to nominate. By submitting a nomination, the nominator warrants that they have

informed the nominee of the nomination and have the nominee’s permission to share their personal

information with the Promoter for the purposes of the Promotion. Nominees may be required to

provide direct confirmation before any prize is awarded.

4.4 Excluded persons. Employees and immediate families of the Promoter, the Program Partners,

and any agency or company involved in the Promotion are not eligible to receive a prize. Such

persons may, however, submit nominations.

5\. How to Enter

To enter, during the Promotion Period a nominator must:

• scan the QR code featured during the Program or visit the Promoter’s website at

resinc.com.au; and

• complete the nomination form, providing the information requested and explaining why the

nominee is a Community Hero.

Entries are free. Multiple nominations are permitted, provided each nomination is for a different

nominee. Duplicate nominations of the same nominee by the same nominator will be treated as a

single nomination. The Promoter may, in its discretion, consolidate multiple independent

nominations of the same nominee.

By submitting a nomination, the nominator acknowledges that, if the nomination is selected, the

nominee will be required to assign applicable government rebates to the Promoter as set out in

clause 8.5.

6\. Nature of Promotion

6.1 Game of skill. This Promotion is a game of skill. Chance plays no part in determining recipients.

6.2 Judging criteria and weighting. Each nomination will be assessed against the following criteria:

• social impact and relevance of the nominee’s work in their community \[40%\];

• demonstrated need for reduced energy costs \[30%\];

• overall merit and quality of the submission \[30%\].

6.3 Judging panel. Nominations will be judged by a panel of 5 persons appointed by the Promoter.

6.4 Tiebreakers. Where two or more nominations score equally on the criteria in clause 6.2, the

panel will determine the recipient by reference to the depth and originality of the written

submission. No random or chance-based tiebreaker will be used.

6.5 Operational considerations. Site suitability, installation scheduling, and rebate eligibility are not

judging criteria but may affect the timing of prize fulfilment under clauses 8 and 10.

7\. Selection of Recipients

7.1 Cadence. Recipients will be selected on a weekly basis, on each \[Wednesday\] during the

Promotion Period, until all allocated systems have been awarded or the Promotion Period ends. The

Promoter may adjust the cadence on reasonable notice published at resinc.com.au.

7.2 Round mechanics. Each weekly round will assess all nominations received before the cut-off

time of \[11:59pm AEST on the preceding Sunday\]. Unsuccessful nominations will be rolled forward

to subsequent rounds for the duration of the Promotion Period unless the nominator opts out.

7.3 Decisions. Subject to applicable law, judging decisions are final and the Promoter is not required

to enter into correspondence about individual decisions.

8\. Prize Details

8.1 Prize. Each selected Community Hero will receive a solar and/or battery system supplied and

installed by the Promoter. The minimum specification of each system is \[e.g. a 6.6 kW solar PV array

or a battery system with not less than 10 kWh of usable storage\], subject to site suitability under

clause 10.

8.2 Configuration. Final system size, configuration, components, and inclusions will be determined

by the Promoter based on site suitability, location, household consumption profile, and installation

viability, provided that the system as delivered will be of equivalent or greater retail value than the

minimum specification in clause 8.1.

8.3 Prize pool value. The total prize pool has an indicative value exceeding AUD $1,000,000

(inclusive of GST), calculated as the Promoter’s net retail price after the rebates referred to in clause

8.5. Individual prize values will vary based on system specification.

8.4 Non-transferability. Prizes are not transferable, exchangeable, or redeemable for cash.

8.5 Rebate assignment. As a condition of receiving the prize, the recipient will assign to the

Promoter all available government rebates and incentives applicable to the supplied system,

including small-scale technology certificates (STCs), the federal Cheaper Home Batteries Program,

the Solar Victoria / Solar Homes Program, and any state-based rebate for which the system is

eligible. The recipient agrees to sign such forms as are reasonably required to effect that assignment.

Where a rebate cannot be legally assigned but operates as a point-of-sale discount, that discount

will be applied to the calculation of the Promoter’s costs and will not affect the prize value to the

recipient.

8.6 Tax. Recipients are responsible for any tax (including FBT, where applicable) arising from the

receipt of the prize and should obtain independent tax advice. The Promoter does not provide tax

advice.

9\. Notification

Successful nominees (or their nominators) will be contacted using the details provided in the entry

form. If a selected nominee cannot be contacted within a reasonable period, declines the prize, or

the installation is not viable, the Promoter reserves the right to select an alternative recipient.

10\. Installation and Site Requirements

Prize fulfilment is subject to:

• site inspection and approval by the Promoter;

• a suitable roof structure, electrical capacity, and compliance with applicable standards; and

• the necessary council, regulatory, and distribution network approvals.

If a site is deemed unsuitable, the Promoter may:

• modify the system specification, provided the modified system has a retail value of not less

than \[60%\] of the originally indicated system;

• with the recipient’s written consent, defer installation pending resolution of the

unsuitability; or

• award the prize to an alternative recipient, in which case the original recipient will receive \[a

contribution towards an alternative system / a goodwill voucher / no further entitlement, at

the Promoter’s discretion\].

Timing of installation is subject to approvals, scheduling, and logistical considerations.

11\. Publicity and Filming

11.1 Nominator consent. By submitting a nomination, each nominator consents to being contacted

by the Promoter or a Program Partner about the nomination.

11.2 Nominee consent. Before any prize is awarded, the nominee will be required to provide a

separate written consent permitting the Promoter and the Program Partners to use their name,

image, likeness, and story for promotional, broadcast, and marketing purposes for the duration of

the Program and for a period of \[24\] months thereafter, in Australia and online globally, without

further compensation. A nominee may decline this consent, in which case the Promoter may award

the prize to an alternative recipient.

11.3 Minors and third parties. Where filming occurs at a property and includes minors or other third

parties not party to this Promotion, the Promoter or the Program Partners will obtain a separate

written consent from each such person (or from a parent or guardian where applicable) before any

footage of that person is broadcast.

11.4 Organisational nominees. Where a nominee is a registered charity, not-for-profit, or

community organisation, the consent in clause 11.2 must be provided by a person authorised under

that organisation’s constitution to grant a publicity licence on its behalf.

12\. Privacy

Personal information collected for the Promotion will be handled in accordance with the Promoter’s

Privacy Policy, available at resinc.com.au/privacy, and the Australian Privacy Principles. The

Promoter collects:

• the nominator’s name and contact details;

• the nominee’s name, contact details, location, and any information provided in the

nomination relating to the nominee’s circumstances; and

• information collected during the site assessment process under clause 10.

The Promoter may share this information with the Program Partners for the purposes of producing

the Program, and with installation contractors for the purposes of fulfilment. The Promoter will not

use unsuccessful nominees’ information for marketing purposes without separate opt-in consent

and will retain unsuccessful nominee data for no longer than \[12\] months after the end of the

Promotion Period.

13\. Liability

13.1 Non-excludable rights. Nothing in this clause 13 excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer

guarantee, right, or remedy under the Australian Consumer Law or any other applicable law that

cannot be excluded.

13.2 Limitation. Subject to clause 13.1 and to the extent permitted by law, the Promoter is not

responsible for:

• technical issues affecting entry submission;

• delays in installation due to weather, supply, regulatory, or distribution network factors, or

other matters outside the Promoter’s reasonable control; or

• any indirect or consequential loss arising in connection with the Promotion.

13.3 Installation defects. The Promoter remains responsible for the quality and workmanship of the

installation in accordance with applicable consumer guarantees and the manufacturer warranties of

the supplied components.

14\. General

The Promoter reserves the right to:

• verify the validity of any entry;

• disqualify any nominator or nominee found to have tampered with the entry process; and

• modify, suspend, or cancel the Promotion if necessary, with notice to be published at

resinc.com.au.

15\. Governing Law

This Promotion and these Terms are governed by the laws of \[New South Wales\], and each

nominator and nominee submits to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that state.

16\. Severance

If any provision of these Terms is held to be unenforceable, that provision will be severed and the

remaining provisions will continue in force.

17\. Contact

Questions about the Promotion may be directed to the Promoter at infor@resinc.com.au or 40 Ross

Street, Newstead, QLD 4006. Privacy queries may be directed to info@resinc.com.au
