132.8kW Solar PV System – Gosford, NSW
RESINC Solar & Batteries was selected to deliver a major solar PV renewal project at Central Coast Stadium in Gosford, replacing end-of-life solar systems across both the East and West stand roof structures.
The project involved decommissioning the existing systems and installing two identical high-performance commercial solar arrays, providing a combined 132.8kW of new solar capacity.
The Project
Central Coast Stadium required a reliable replacement for the ageing solar PV systems installed across its East and West stands.
RESINC designed and installed two new systems engineered to meet current Australian Standards, providing the stadium with modern solar technology, greater generation capacity and a strong platform for reducing grid electricity consumption over the long term.
The completed project includes:
- 132.8kW total solar capacity
- 216 Longi Solar 615W panels
- 108 panels per stand
- 2 x Sungrow SG50CX-P2 50kW commercial inverters
- Flush-mounted solar arrays across the East and West stand structures
The installation was completed in accordance with relevant Australian Standards, including AS/NZS 3000, AS/NZS 5033:2021 and AS/NZS 4777.1:2024.
Projected Energy Performance
Based on the system design and available solar resource, the two systems are projected to generate approximately:
- 175,846kWh of renewable electricity each year
- Around 482kWh per day
- 88.4% solar self-consumption, with the majority of generated electricity expected to be used directly on site
This high level of self-consumption is particularly valuable for a large facility such as Central Coast Stadium, where daytime electricity demand provides an excellent match for commercial solar generation.
Projected Electricity Savings
Based on RESINC’s modelling, the renewed solar systems are estimated to deliver approximately:
- $47,266 in first-year electricity bill savings
- Around $1.49 million in cumulative electricity savings over 25 years
These figures are engineering projections based on the system design and site conditions. Actual savings will be assessed once sufficient post-installation electricity billing data is available.
Long-Term Environmental Impact
The environmental benefits of the project are also substantial.
Over a 25-year period, the system is estimated to avoid approximately 2,396 tonnes of CO₂-e emissions.
That’s equivalent to the carbon benefit of growing approximately 39,000 trees for 10 years.
Commercial Solar Built for the Long Term
The Central Coast Stadium project demonstrates the scale and capability of RESINC’s commercial solar division.
From system design and engineering through to installation and commissioning, our commercial team delivers tailored solar solutions designed around the energy requirements, site conditions and long-term financial objectives of each organisation.
For stadiums, commercial properties, industrial facilities and other high-energy-use sites, a well-designed commercial solar system can significantly reduce grid electricity consumption and deliver substantial long-term operating savings.
