# Australia’s $2.3 Billion Battery Boom: What It Means for Homeowners and Businesses

The Albanese Government has announced a landmark $2.3 billion investment in its new *Cheaper Home Batteries Program* — a bold step forward in reducing power bills, strengthening grid stability, and accelerating the shift to clean, renewable energy.

Set to launch on **1 July 2025**, this incentive will support battery installations ranging from **5kW to 50kW** for both **residential and commercial** properties.
