A Smarter Way to Charge Your Battery, Cut Bills & Get Paid More for Stored Energy
RESINC is a partner installer with Amber, so, if you’re looking to take advantage of wholesale energy prices to charge your battery at discounted rates, and sell your stored energy for a profit when prices spike, Amber might be a strong fit for you.
Amber gives homeowners direct access to the wholesale market. That means cheaper charging when renewables are abundant, and higher feed-in rates when the grid is under pressure. Many customers use this to boost their battery ROI and pay off their system faster.

Protected From Price Spikes With Amber’s Bill Guarantee
One fear that some people have when it comes to accessing wholesale rates is the potential to be exposed to paying more for electricity than they are used to when the price spikes.
Amber has a feature in place on their standard offer that is a Bill Guarantee which protects consumers against this risk.
This guarantee ensures that a customer’s average wholesale usage rate will not exceed the government’s set Default Market Offer (DMO) or Victorian Default Offer (VDO) over a financial quarter.
The mechanism is designed to mitigate the risk associated with direct access to volatile wholesale electricity prices, which can sometimes spike dramatically.
Benchmark Rate
Amber sets quarterly "guarantee rates" (which are based on the DMO/VDO) that serve as a maximum average price benchmark for your electricity usage.
Refund Mechanism
If, at the end of the quarter, your average usage rate with Amber is higher than the set Bill Guarantee rate, Amber will automatically refund the difference as a credit on your next bill.
Monitoring
Amber automatically monitors your actual average wholesale electricity rate over each quarter.
Upside Potential
This protection allows you to benefit from the often much lower average wholesale prices (the "upside") while being protected from consistently high prices (the "downside"). Over the long term, customers are generally expected to pay less on wholesale prices.
